About the Education
About the Education National Theater's Acting School
The goal of the acting education is to train you to be an independent creative and performing artist.
You will learn theoretical knowledge within the artistic fields of theater, as well as gain practical skills and interdisciplinary competencies.
All of this is to prepare you, as a trained actor, to engage in professional artistic and stage-related activities at a high level.
As a student at the acting school, you will learn to work based on a broad understanding of cultural history, with a special emphasis on Inuit history. You will also be taught to relate to your contemporary society and incorporate this engagement into your work.
You will also acquire methodological tools to read and analyze a role, understand its significance within the dramatic whole, and engage with principles of artistic development work.
