Two living creatures explores the world even before they are born, they get a chance to know their family, understand the passage of time and find their home. They are still invisible to other people, only the animals can see them and help them on their way. A-I-U portrays a living language, songs, play and imagination in a beautiful symphony.

2019 marks the United Nations international year of indigenous languages, approximately 50.000 people in the world speaks Greenlandic (/Kalallisut). In Greenlandic (/Kalallisut) the vowels A, I and U are the only ones we really use. Originally E became I and O became U. In this performance we play with the words and discover that there are many, many words with A that are related to family.
