Akunnerit 2019

The theatre concert Akunnerit is a tribute to Laarseeraq Svendsen and the lovely music he has made. It will be a musical evening for the adult audience with a focus on good mood and togetherness. 

The performance is not a historical retrospect, but we let the songs speak to us in the present. The music has been re-arranged and the songs are interpreted by three young singers, who are Kuunu Berthelsen, Kimmernaq Kjeldsen and Nathan Kreutzmann. 

The texts exude love and a pride in the Greenlandic nature and the people. But everything is not only rosy but there may also be minor surprises and room for laughs along the way. 

The singer Laarseeraq Svendsen (1926-1975) was a singer, a super star in the 50s and 60s. His recordings dating back to the period 1958-1975 have been edited and re-released on CD in the year 1990. These songs are now on stage for the show in Hans Lynge Hall in Katuaq.
