Nunatta Isiginnaartitsinermik Ilinniarfia (NUIL) and Nunatta Isiginnaartitsisarfia (NUIS) are working together on the production of the acting students' graduation performance for summer 2021. NUIL has chosen the classic 'The Little Prince'- Ataqqinartunnguaq as the graduation performance for Team 2019-2021, where the focus is on quality and relevance.

The family show "Ataqqinartunnguaq" is the story of the pilot who makes an emergency landing in the arctic desert at Kangerlussuaq. There he meets the magical little prince who comes from space and tells the pilot about his own home planet. The prince's home is asteroid B612, no bigger than a house, where you can see as many as 44 sunsets in a day. He has come to earth on his tour of all the planets to make friends and get help to save his beloved rose. On the trip between the planets, he has met the king who is sick of power, the businessman who is greedy, the vain, and the drunkard who drinks to forget that he drinks. He comes to the conclusion that adults are strange.

Ataqqinartunnguaq is a family performance that was staged for the first time in Greenlandic in 2011 in Katuaq, under the direction of Silamiut: The play was directed by Makka Kleist, translated by Makka Kleist and Tida Ravn, with dramaturgy by Svenn Syrin. Makka Kleist- Director (2011) stated: "When I had to (re)write the Greenlandic version of Exypéry's 'Le Petit Prince', I thought long and hard about the title of the performance. The little Prince has an enviable integrity and never allowed himself to be led along, so based on these facts the choice became 'Ataqqinartunnguaq' - 'the little respectable one'.

Ataqqinartunnguaq is relevant for all ages and speaks to children's ability to see the good in everyone. “The story can be seen by everyone; whether you are an adult, youth or child has that relevance. It touches on deep, essential things in life such as: love/indifference; life/death; selfishness/altruism. The very visual expression in the play has been created on the basis of Exypéry's own detailed descriptions.” Makka Kleist (2011).
