GLOBAL DANCE WITH WORLD CLASS DANCERS
For almost 20 years, the Danish choreographer Lene Boel has explored, developed and mixed dance traditions and dance artists from all over the world. It has become a unique choreographic expression, and all over the world the works and the hand-picked dancers have drawn excited audiences to packed halls.

GLOBAL SOULS is no exception. A joyful and highly dynamic celebration of dance and different cultures, where three dancers in a special class from France, Cameroon and Brazil with very different cultural backgrounds play with traditions and differences. Ritualized movements and the three dancers' roots in various traditional dance forms are integrated into the dance. The French roller skating champion, Xuan Le is complemented by the equilibristic African dance of Mario Pounde and the elegant South American lightness of José Rodrigues Junior.

Composer Rex Casswell has, throughout the performance's creation period, developed a contrasting electronic soundscape for the performance, the sound of a global pulse. While lighting designer Jesper Kongshaug has created a co-poetic scenographic lighting design.

Lene Boel and NEXT ZONE produce performances that challenge and create new perceptions of what dance can express and deal with. The choreographic universe is distinctive, pushes the boundaries of what is choreographically possible and gives the audience unique and thought-provoking performing arts experiences. Carried out with support from the pool for cultural activities.
