Kiinnat Festival 2021

We create together with the local population

In 2021, Nunatta Isiginnaartitsisarfia will be 10 years old and we have therefore been planning a national traveling festival for a long time, called Kiinnat Festival 2021. The project includes the involvement of the entire local cultural life oma. in the cities visited. So it is not a finished performance we come with, but we come and create something together with people in each place.

The festival was originally planned to start in April 2021, and was budgeted and planned to involve most of the cities in Greenland. However, the corona restrictions made this impossible "We hope to be able to reach other parts of the country with the festival at a later date" says the theater manager Susanne Andreasen.

The concept for the festival is taken from the Odin Teatret's Cultural Exchange, and it is done in collaboration with the Ikarus group from the Nordic Theater Laboratory - Odin Teatret.
