Tales From The Trash

A woman in a pile of plastic waste by the sea; a mad bag lady or a fortune teller?

Actor, singer and storyteller Katrine Faber from Teater Viva, DK plays her new one-woman performance at Greenland's National Theatre. It will happen on Tuesday 28 February at 19.00. It is a surprising theater performance with monologues, stories, songs, dance and electronic tracks.

The performance explores the resonance between nature, people, bodies and time. Faber has gathered inspiration for the performance during stays in Greenland and Iceland and with thanks to the angakkoq in the Inuit culture and the wolf in the Nordic culture, the performance allows the times to meet and the song to connect the worlds.

With songs and stories from Greenland, Iceland, Modern Civilization and the age-old Nordic Edda quatrain, the audience is taken into a strong and sensual montage about changes and crises, endings and new beginnings.
