Tulugak is a collaborative performing art project created by performing artists from Greenland, Nunavik, and Nunavut. Tulugak explores Inuit raven stories from the Arctic, incorporating dance, music (bothcontemporary and traditional) circus, theatre, and storytelling.

Tulugak was initially rehearsed and performed in Nuuk, Greenland in May 2012 at Katuaq CulturalCentre with a cast of 15. While there were two Greenlandic performers in the show, most performersand raven stories originated from Nunavik and Nunavut.

Following the show, Sylvia Cloutier (thedirector and producer of Tulugak) approached Makka Kleist (National Theatre School Principal) and Svenn Syrin (Artistic Director of National Theatre of Greenland) with an invitation for Greenland’s National Theatre students and 3 company members to devise a Greenlandic raven story to be incorporated into the larger Tulugak theatre piece that will be presented on Canada’s national stage. The collaboration, rehearsals and presentation will take place in Canada.
