Details

Start Date: 18. maj

End Date: 23. maj

The National Theatre of Greenland (NUIS) re-set the classic “The Little Prince” (Ataqqinartunnguaq) which was the graduation performance for Team 2019-2021. The performance never went on tour due to covid-19 and it will be performed almost all over Greenland, as it will be part of the theatre's “Immerneq 2024” tour, where Kisaq will sail the troops around the coast.

The family show "Ataqqinartunnguaq" is the story of the pilot who makes an emergency landing in the arctic desert at Kangerlussuaq. There he meets the magical little prince who comes from space and tells the pilot about his own home planet. The prince's home is asteroid B612, no bigger than a house, where you can see as many as 44 sunsets in a day. He has come to earth on his tour of all the planets to make friends and get help to save his beloved rose.

On the trip between the planets, he has met the king who is domineering of power, the businessman who is greedy, the vain, and the drunkard who drinks to forget that he drinks. He comes to the conclusion that adults are strange.
