Jappa

Jappa is on the lowest social ranking list in society. His wife Pernille cheats on him and Jappa suppresses all his problems by drinking heavily. The colony manager and his people decide to play a trick on him. They carry Jappa, who is passed out from drunkenness, to the Colony Manager's bed to see what will happen.

Jappa wakes up and thinks he has died and gone to heaven...

Ludvig Holberg wrote the comedy "Jeppe på Bjerget" in 1722, but the theme and humor are eternally relevant. That's why The National Theatre of Greenland now sets up the play with a Greenlandic twist, and instead of a Baron, it's the Colony Manager who plays tricks with Jappa.
