A Norwegian theater production is coming to The National Theatre of Greenland and will take the audience on a journey of a lifetime.

"Life's an art" (Å leve er en kunst) - a theatrical monologue about life. The Norwegian actress Jeanne Bøe uses her own life experiences from when she was at the monastery Tautra and had conversations with the monk Anthony. Anthony became an important man who gave good answers and advice in a very challenging time. The story is conveyed through own texts and texts from the great Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen; background film, song, music and dance.

The performance is based on the universal topics of life such as: Love, death, grief, longing, mental illness, faith and doubt. This is an honest and documentary performance which opens up the audience's own life stories and lets them feel their own journey through life.

The performance received rave reviews and played to sold-out houses in the Ibsenhuset in Skien. Now the performance will tour around the world for the next two years, starting in Nuuk.

Jeanne Bøe is an actor, producer, playwright, writer and adventurer. This is her first visit to Greenland and she and the theater have chosen for the performance to be performed in English.
