Trails and Tales of Nuuk 2021

Details

Start Date: 15. august

End Date: 05. september

In 2021, it will be 300 years since Hans Egede arrived in Greenland, and Greenland's National Theater and Katersugaasivik Nuutoqaq - Nuuk Local Museum are marking this by re-enacting the living storytelling "Trails and Tales of Nuuk."

"Trails and Tales of Nuuk" is a historical city walk in a theatrical setting. It is theater and history in a common combination. 3 young actors bring history to life in the authentic setting of Kolonihavnen. The audience is drawn into a dramatic depiction of life and everyday life in Greenland and Nuuk all the way back from the Dorset people, up through the colonial era to end in the modern and traditional Nuuk.

There is currently a great demand for the dissemination of knowledge about our cultural origins. It is therefore the intention of the city walk to entertain and enlighten both the locals and visitors to Nuuk.
